DESCRIPTION:Each December\, thousands of people gather on the banks of th
 e Delaware River to watch the reenactment of George Washington’s daring 
 1776 Christmas night river crossing. During the event\, several hundred 
 reenactors in Continental military dress listen to an inspiring speech b
 y General Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boa
 ts. This year marks the 250th Anniversary of the Crossing which took pla
 ce on Christmas Night 1776.\nOn Friday\, December 25th\, celebrate the 7
 4th annual Christmas Day Crossing Reenactment from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (
 actual crossing at 1:00 PM). Arrival by 11:30 AM is recommended to secur
 e a good view. Admission is free\, thanks to proceeds from the First Cro
